He is a quiet companion, omnipresent and inseparable. He has been with me since before I was born and will stay with me until the moment they lay me in the ground. He is devoted and doesn’t care whether I pay attention to him. He exists entirely without my awareness. And yet, he can only exist for me when I perceive him. He doesn’t have to be seen or felt. He moves silently and unnoticed. Sometimes, he cannot be spotted even when I give him my full attention. He is so inconspicuous. Perhaps I will only notice him when I look back. I’ll realize he was there all along. He is with me even when I do absolutely nothing. He asks nothing of me.

He loves ordinary situations the most. He is full of them, even when no one pays him any attention. He is neither good nor bad. He simply is. He helps me move forward, ensures that things happen. He builds something new out of what once was. He is here with me, with us, constantly – from the very beginning to the very end, and then again. He accompanies me through life.

To see him, we must be patient. Perhaps he thrives best when we place no pressure on him, when we simply do not resist and let him flow freely. Our exhibition gives the viewer an opportunity to step closer, to peek into the space behind the doors. It offers a chance to slow down, to pause for a moment, and if they are attentive enough, they might be able to see him.

For he is everywhere. He is not just my companion. He is everywhere, constantly happening – around us and within us. He is Growth.
